Mechanix Wear can today announce a fast paced new partnership with championship contending Power Maxed Racing to mark a significant return to the KwikFit British Touring Car Championship.
The BTCC is known for its fierce competition as the nations most widely followed motorsport championship, making it the perfect platform for Mechanix Wear to showcase its innovative products and commitment to excellence. This partnership not only highlights the brand's dedication to the motorsports community but also reinforces its position as a market leader in providing high-quality performance gear within the automotive and motorsport industry.
Power Maxed Racing is poised to be a front-runner in 2024 after a winter full of development on the already proven package in the Vauxhall Astra. With a strong driver line-up, including multiple BTCC race winner Árón Taylor-Smith and Jack Sears Trophy runner up Mikey Doble, the team is going into the 2024 season arguably in their best position for success in many years.
Additionally, Power Maxed Racing's partnership with Mechanix Wear brings added support and resources to boost their performance both on and off track. Power Maxed Racing will have the added benefits of utilising Mechanix Wear products throughout the season to coincide with the iconic logo being seeing on both Power Maxed Racing BTCC cars.

They are an extremely talented bunch of individuals who are all operating at the top of their game and this aligns directly with what Mechanix Wear strives for. We first spoke to Árón to explore this potential partnership and to know that our logo will be seen on both Power Maxed Racing cars is something that we are extremely proud of. Everyone at Mechanix Wear is really excited by the prospect of working with the team throughout the season.”
The start of the 2024 BTCC season is just around the corner and this new partnership with Mechanix Wear couldn’t be any better timed with Power Maxed Racing having recently commenced their preseason testing. One of the key factors going into the 2024 season for Power Maxed Racing is the continuity within their driver line up.
Both Árón Taylor-Smith and Mikey Doble resigned early after the curtains fell on last season season meaning that the team could fast track development based on learning’s from the 2023 campaign. The team had a host of podiums throughout last season and in particular, were constant podium threats throughout the second half of the season. The continuity within the driver line up has allowed for further winter development to maximise their chances of success going into the 2024 season.
Árón Taylor-Smith commented: “Everyone in motorsport knows of the Mechanix Wear name and I am honestly delighted to welcome them on board for this season. They are an iconic name within the automotive world and I truly believe that this partnership will leverage the brand to an even greater height. Our 2024 campaign is really taking shape and I can’t thank everyone at Mechanix Wear enough for the support for what should be a great season. We have a host of activations in line for the season, from bespoke content creation to utilise the VIP hospitality on race days, it really is going to be a great year.”
Whilst the Mechanix Wear logo will be seen by millions across the ITV broadcasting on-board the Power Maxed Racing BTCC cars, there are a host of additional benefits associated with this partnership with Power Maxed Racing. The team have heavily invested into their media capabilities making them a front-runner in terms of brand exposure for each of their partners. This combined with the strength of their existing partner network enables them to offer commercial benefits to prospective partners like no other team on the grid.
Adam Weaver commented: “We wanted to create something truly unique for our partners going into the 2024 season as a logo on the car just doesn’t cut it nowadays. We have employed some of the best in the business to give a new sense of value to each of our partnerships and this program with Mechanix Wear is testament of that. We are now capable of effectively providing an outsourced marketing program with the added benefits of the BTCC and I look forward to seeing this come to life for everyone at Mechanix Wear.”
